Solitude Experience at Clare
House / Hermitages

This experience invites you to "sit at the feet of
Jesus" as you enter into solitude, based on the Gospel images
of Martha and Mary. Following St. Francis of Assisi’s insights
wherein all of your needs are tended to, Franciscan solitude
offers an opportunity to be deeply attentive to Jesus while
sharing your experience with others who seek peace and quiet in
their busy lives. Each day includes Mass, Morning Prayer,
and Evening Prayer with optional sharing. Limited to five persons.
$160 ($30 non-refundable deposit, due with registration)

Poetry is the best of any language. Often times poems
express a deep longing for God. During these days of retreat
we shall allow some great verse to guide us on pilgrimage to grow
closer to God.

Mini-Sabbath--Living
with Balance: Life in Abundance

This mini-sabbath will explore the theme "BRINGING BALANCE
BACK" into our lives that can sometimes "become
lost" in the many activities and responsibilities of
active/living ministry. It will be a time to rest, relax, receive
input, spend time with (and be nurtured by) self/others/God in an
emotionally safe and sacred environment and allow oneself to
"be."

With the Gospel of the Vine and Branches as a springboard, our
relationship with God will be explored through prayer, input, and
time for quiet reflection. Consideration of such themes as
Incarnation, vine imagery in Scripture, mystic branches of the
vine, Gospel images of the reign of God, abiding and remaining,
and intimacy with God will provide us with a lens to explore more
deeply the implication of being inheritors of God’s kingdom in
our world today.

T'ai
Chi Chih Retreat: Entering Cosmic Rhythm
- August 27-31, 2008
Retreat begins at 7:00 P.M. first night
Departure: 11:00 A.M. last day
These extended days of retreat will provide time and experience
for participants to sink more fully into the essence of T'ai Chi
Chih while connecting with the energy of the Cosmic Rhythm.
The full T'ai Chi Chih form will be taught with special emphasis
on the last 10 moves. No prior experience is
necessary. The learning experience will encompass
instruction, practice sessions, spirituality, and
reflection. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable
clothing and soft-soled shoes or socks.
