Solitude Experience - October 10-13, 2008 and
February 13-16, 2009
at Clare
House and the Hermitages
Arrival: 6:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. first night
Retreat begins 7:00 P.M. first night
Departure: 3:00 P.M. last day
This experience invites you to "sit at the feet of
Jesus" as you enter into solitude, based on the Gospel images
of Martha and Mary. Following St. Francis of Assisi’s insights
wherein all of your needs are tended to, Franciscan solitude
offers an opportunity to be deeply attentive to Jesus while
sharing your experience with others who seek peace and quiet in
their busy lives. Each day includes Mass, Morning Prayer,
and Evening Prayer with optional sharing. Limited to five persons.
$160 ($50 non-refundable deposit, due with registration)

This morning of contemplation is a time of quiet gazing at Christ
and His presence in your life. Each morning is introduced
with an individual theme for entering into this quiet time.

| Weekends of Directed Prayer |
Weekend
of Directed Prayer - October 17-19, 2008 and February 6-8,
2009
Arrival: Friday, 7:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.
Retreat begins 7:30 P.M. Departure: Sunday, 11:00 A.M.
This weekend is designed for persons who wish time for prayer and
an opportunity to meet individually with a director.
Beginning with a prayer service on Friday evening, the
weekend's silence provides a contemplative atmosphere. Those
wishing to come for a weekend of personal prayer without direction
are also welcome.
$130 with direction / $60 without direction ($30 non-refundable

Guided
Retreat Weekend - November 7-9, 2008 and March 13-15, 2009

Retreat begins: 7:30 P.M. Departure: Sunday, 11:00 A.M.
This guided retreat opportunity invites participants to pray with
the presented theme as it relates to your daily
life experience. You may come for the day, overnight, or the
entire weekend. The time will include a brief input session on
Saturday morning with suggested readings, questions for
reflection, and a concluding prayer together. The remainder of the
weekend allows time for contemplative silence.
$100 (weekend); $60 (overnight); $35 (day)

Focusing
Weekend - January 9-11, 2009
Arrival: Friday, 7:00 - 7:30 P.M.
Retreat begins: 7:30 P.M. Departure: Sunday, 11:00 A.M.
As a culture we have lost the art of listening, of focusing
within. Rarely do we listen inwardly to what our body's
unique "felt sense" is trying to tell us. Focusing
is a way to pay attention to the hidden wisdom that lies deep
within our bodies. Participants will learn more about
Presence and the ability to be with anything that arises.
Focusing allows us to access wisdom that is holistic. It's
as if the problem knows how to solve itself!

Twilight
Retreat for Widows and Widowers - February 12, 2009

This evening offers support and encouragement to persons who have
recently lost a spouse. The retreat includes dinner and
sharing. Limited to six persons.
